She tired quickly again, knowing that expending this amount of energy would most likely kill her if not careful. Hell, she wasn't careful in the first place, assaulting a cop and stealing clothing from a store was far from it. Slowing down from her sprint, she stopped at a street corner with a few people strolling past her, giving her odd looks as they walked by. Other than that, the streets were almost dead.
Taking this moment into consideration, Jean sat down on a nearby bench, taking a breather. She felt bewildered and out of her mind, what was she doing here? All she wanted was to see her friends again, to let them know shes okay. But that task proved difficult as the early resurrection threw her and her powers off course. At least the cold didn't bother her as much, with her heart pounding in her chest, blood flowing throughout her body with need.
All of her actions were done based on impulse. Jean finally understood what it meant to be physically and mentally broken. She should've never left her healing process.
Kicking the pavement in frustration and defeat, Jean slumped her shoulders with an exasperated sigh. She could try to connect a psi-link with one of her friends, leading them to her. But in her weakened state, she would need someone within distance reach in order to do so.

Logan followed the figure until it came to a resting stop. He watched from two blocks away as it sat upon a bench. Looking as if it was fatigued from its last encounter. With a few steps forth, Logan could identify the figure as a woman. Red hair, fair skin, slim. He felt like he'd seen her before. But there was no way for him to remember. A year ago his mind had been wiped, for what seemed to be the milllionth time. In another failed attempt to turn the ex soldier into a weapon, a government agency wiped his memory attempting to turn him into a killing machine. A machine he once was. All his training, all his bonds and connections. All the good and bad times, completely erased. His memory of Charles and his school, Bobby, Rogue, Jean. All completely out of mind.

Jean perked up at a sound nearby, but her field of vision in the dark couldn't tell her what it was. She stayed seated in the bench, not wanting to make an advance with her power. Instead, she stilled herself, waiting to see if anything would come forward from the dark roads. Jean was under a dimly lit road light, the light not being enough to reveal anything in the darkness.
Being uneasy with all that had previously happened, she started to wonder who had dismembered those bodies she stumbled across, and if they still might be lurking in the eery night waiting for their next victim.
It wasn't fear that gripped her now, more like an "oh crap" feeling that washed over her as she realized she might not be strong enough to defend herself. Jean's curiosity of the sound suddenly vanished, because now all she wanted to do was get out of there.
Abruptly standing up from the bench, Jean clenched her jaw as she tried to break into a run, her red hair thrashing as the cold wind whipped at it. She really didn't want to know who or what made that sound in the dark anymore, she just wanted to escape and find somewhere to rest.
At this point, Jean knew she wouldn't last any much longer, her legs trembled and fell beneath her as she collapsed on the concrete with a hard thud. The molecules that made up her body trembled as well, feeling that they might threaten to break apart. Jean tried to muster strength into her arms to sit up, but couldn't, as her arms felt numb along with her legs.
The red haired mutant became annoyed with this new predicament, rolling onto her back to glare at the sky. The ends of her vision was starting to go black, which meant unconsciousness would come soon.

Logan examined the woman as she had seemed to collapse in the passing moments of his arrival. She looked to be worried, as if she knew he was out there. Or as if she was being chased by a killer. Well technically that was true, but Logan honestly can't be held accountable for his actions right now. He doesn't even know what he truly is, just a mere memory of his childhood. One clear memory is how he received his mutation. Lost in his train of thought, Logan returned to reality. Taking his cigarette from his lips and throwing it to the ground stumping on its flame. He then made a quick sprint down the block to where the woman had been laying. Now towering over her uneased body, he would place his hand under her head. Slightly holding up as he used his other fist to eject his three prong claws and point them at her. "Who are you! And why did you....?" Before Logan could finish his interrogation his eyes met hers. A gaze he had seen before, a fire he had felt before. His mind attempting to remember something that didn't exist anymore. He growled in frustration as his head would begin to ache, his claws sliding back into his skin. He needed answers, and he needed them now.
Logan would pick the woman up in his arms and throw her over his shoulders. Holding her with his left arm, he looked down the street seeing a lit up motel sign not far. That was the direction he decided to travel in. Not long before he arrived to the motel, approaching the front desk, he looked into his duffle bag and threw a stack of cash on the counter. Not even counting the money, not needing to. "I need a room now." He looked to the manager and held out his hand. The civilian looked at him like he was a rapist of a kidnaping psycho. He looked to his shoulder and then back at him. "Ohhhh mo pal, this is my wife. She's just a little drunk...." Slightly putting his mind at ease, just enough so he could cough up the keys to him. Logan grabbed them and continued to room 10. Quickly opening the door Logan placed the woman upon the bed. Then pulling up a seat along side her sitting in it until she awaken. Waiting for hours.

The last thing in the fading lines of her sight was a man whom she knew, but couldn't put a name to his face as she fell into the abyss. Red flags should've had her mind and body wide awake at the moment, but she felt an odd sense of familiarity and safety with that face. So Jean let herself fall unconscious, her atoms screaming for that long awaited rest.
Her powers was not the only thing weakened, Jean learned; her whole molecular structure was weakened, and it took every ounce of her telekinetic abilities to stay together. She knew that her stay on Earth wasn't going to last long, but she didn't know her physical body would actually dissipate soon. And if she doesn't preserve her remaining energy, the destruction of her own body would come faster than planned.

Jean stayed in her mind until the self diagnostic check was complete, a precaution she must take so she could determine whether or not she's ready to awaken. The mutant tugged herself away from the psychic sleep, feeling more better than when she arrived on Earth. The red haired woman slowly opened her eyes, staring at the ceiling above while scanning the area with her mind.
Her psychic senses concluded that there was a man near her, and that she was in a motel.
Propping herself up on her elbows to face him, a small smile appeared on her lips.

"You waited a long time for me to wake up." Jean teased with a soft tone.

Logan, dosed off here and there awaiting for the mutant to awaken. His attention was at max when he noticed she had woken up. He looked at her as she seemed to recognize him. He was filled with confusion and so many questions. But the first thing that crossed his mind, the most important thing for him was knowing who he was. "Who am I?"' Though all the questions and doubts in the world couldn't stop him from being who he thought he was. There's always this feeling of a void, empty space in him.

The question confused Jean, stopping all of her own questions she conjured up while she was asleep. She squinted at the man, trying to figure something out. Hating that her powers couldn't be much of help to discover why he would ask such a question, she answered anyways, turning her whole body towards him and sat at the edge of the bed.

"You are James Howlett, son of John and Elizabeth Howlett in Alberta, Canada. You go by the alias of Logan or Wolverine, and is a member of the X-Men. You fought so many battles with them, against those who threaten liberty for all. You even opened up a school in my name, which is one of the many noble and honorable things you're known for."

Jean provided the information as she remembered them, granted she was dead for half of those memories, and purposely didn't mention the countless times he killed her; Jean only wanted to say what felt most important to her.

"You really don't remember?"

He looked at her seriously, questioning the information given to him. But it was the only thing he had to work on. He felt a connection to the woman though, even though he had no clue who she was at the time. Logan looked to his chest, grabbing ahold of the dog tags that hung from his neck. James howlett is what it read, he always wondered if that was his true identity. He found slight comfort in the situation. Slightly letting his guard down. He laid back in his seat absorbing the information given.

He looked her in the eyes and told the truth. "To be honest love, not really." He couldn't deny the attraction to her. But the question still stands, who the hell is this. Who are the Xmen, why is this happening to him. Some questions he doubt this source could provide and answer to. Be he is more than willing to try.

"Then...someone must have done this to you." Jean pondered out loud, staring into Logan's eyes searching for any sign of recognition.
She caught a glimpse of it, though it was hardly there. Jean can feel his emotions, knowing he definitely feels the connection but can't put one and two together.
"I'm Jean Grey, a close friend to you. I can try and give you my memories of you. But you'd have to trust me, let me into your mind." She said nervously, knowing how Logan was about mind intrusions. "If you'd rather not do this, then we could go to Charles for help, an old friend of ours."

Logan didn't even want to entertain the idea of letting someone in his mind. His hand would ball up into a fist just at the thought of that kind of intrusion. He stood up, turning his back to the woman while shaking his head. But curiosity wouldn't let him run away from this chance. He needed to know who he was, feel who he was. Every good and bad memory alike. He needed to know who she was, this mysterious woman who he felt a deep connection with. He would turn back to fac her. Giving a small growl before speaking. "Just do it."
