Possible methods to add Profile Music [Highly Requested]

Post by OfficiallyMe » 22 Dec 2014, 11:35

Hello Anispace. This thread will mainly be a simple tutorial on how to add profile music using various methods.
Notice: Users viewing your page on phones and tablets will not be able to play the audio.

Please make sure your Profile Music is turned on. Located on Profile Widgets. [Global settings]

If you have any questions, please visit http://www.anispace.net/user/Scientific That is my new account.

Method 1: Youtube
Note: A few users have complained to me that using this method may cause bugs to your profile. Your page may not load properly in some cases.
Probably because they haven't updated their adobe flash player.

This is how the player looks like.

How do you get the embed code?
Simply proceed to the desired youtube video.
Click on "Share" ---> "Embed" ---> Simply copy the code provided. [Highlight + Ctrl C or right click and copy]

After you do that. Go to the My Account tab ---> Edit Profile
and simply PASTE your embed code on [youtube]

Method 2: Billy Sheep Player [Popular Pick]
UPDATE: Dropbox currently still works, but you have to do it in an alternative way.
There will be a tutorial on dropbox below the Mp3Skull guide.

MP3SKULL
Here are screenshots on how this works.
There are many other sites you can use besides Mp3skull, if you know the links, be sure to post them in this thread.

Please open:

DropBox [Updated 01/05/2015]
Thank you to user/Katie and user/Loli for informing me about this.

Make an account and sign in.

Step 1: Upload your mp3 files into Dropbox. There will be an upload button once you have signed into Dropbox.

Step 2: Click on links on the left column and click on the "options" icon on an mp3 file.

Step 3: A pop-up will occur, you should be able to copy the link they will provide you.
Image
Step 4: Place the link into the billy sheep website.
Image
Step 5: Replace d=0 with d=1 on the link. Convert it to the embed code and it will work.

Method 5: Audioplay
Scientific wrote:Update 2015-11-03
Hello Anispace users, I have a treat for you. A new simple and stylish music player.
The AudioPlay Music player.

http://www.strangecube.com/audioplay/
All you have to do is get the link of the mp3 source, paste it.
You can customize the player itself, it's pretty straight forward.
It's easy to make it autoplay without having to change anything in the embed code.
You can choose more than one button style.

user/MixedUpMeows can also assist you with method 5.

Vocaroo
The famous voice recorder Vocaroo does work on Anispace.
So just simply to go http://vocaroo.com/
Record your silly voices and create your embed code there.

How to get Youtube MP3 files
Alright, some users want to use dropbox as a method to get embed codes from billysheep. But their question is, how do we get MP3 files? We need them to be uploaded to dropbox in order for billysheep to work. There are many different ways to get them.
From downloading files from http://www.4shared.com/ to syncing files from your phone.
Today, I'm here to show you an easy and effective method.

You might like the audio you hear on a youtube music video.
You wish to use it for your profile? No problem.
Copy the link from the address bar of the youtube video.
Image
Open http://www.listentoyoutube.com/
Paste the link into the youtube url
Image
Click this.
Image
Click [Download Mp3]
Image
You will receive the download link.
Image
There, you're done. You're ready to upload the file to dropbox.
(Refer to the OP if you want to know about the dropbox/billysheep method)

You may use http://www.youtube-mp3.org/ as an easier alternative.

This Mini-Tutorial will be updated to the OP for reference.

Other users Suggestions and advice

Veopod
Kittenlover wrote:There is also another method to use.

Its a site called Veopod.
You can add music onto a playlist so you can add a variety of songs you like ^^
Also you can edit your box so its no visible on your account at all.
SoundCloud
Loli wrote:Yes it works. You need to use the old embed code. You can do that using this tutorial:

If anyone needs help changing the color and such, lemme know and I may be able to help. c:
Dropbox
Loli wrote:Dropbox still works. Just change the dl=0 at the end of the link to dl=1.
Kiwi6
LaVieDeCirque wrote:I use Youtube > Youtube Mp3 converter > Upload to Kiwi6 > Billy Tumblr

That way i can get any song i want from youtube without having to search for the mp3.
Enshin wrote:Very simple method:

Go to YouTube and type in the music you like to display on your profile. Copy and paste said music URL. Then go here:

http://www.youtube-mp3.org/

Paste the URL into the covert video box then download the link. Afterwards, go here:

http://kiwi6.com/

It's a free MP3 upload site. Create an account and upload your music files. Then copy and paste the direct link to one of the music you've uploaded. Then finally go here:

http://www.sheepproductions.com/billy/

Paste the link onto one of the boxes and click "Generate Code". The code for your music player should be listed. Then copy and paste said code into your Anispace music box.
Issue with Google Chrome Browser Fix
Seth wrote:So, I noticed a recent issue with Chrome that had the music players no longer autoplaying music; requiring a manual click-to-play to start the music.

I figured out the fix:

1). Type "chrome://chrome/settings/content" into your URL bar
2). Scroll to "Plugins"
3). Set to "Run all plugin content"
4). Click "Done" at bottom of window
