I never expect favoritism or any of the sort

If I end up not being fit for the deed, I just accept the facts and move on and not make any single fuss(cause making a big fuss about not being accepted is just being plain immature and a sore loser and behaving like that would prove further why you wasn't chosen in the first place)

Oh first off, the /prime/ basis for it to count as a popularity contest is for a majority of users AKA THE POPULATION to make a vote on it. And its not. Its just us mods who will make the decision. So its a minority vote really.

Now of course we could also be blamed for favoritism. Now that is a lil harder to argue because- yes, past interactions with users will influence our decisions. If you are a user I barely talked to vs a user that Ive know for years and I know is of a capable mind set, thats obviously going to effect my decision. Another case would be a user well like by several people because of their approachable attitude vs a user known to illicit negative tension when they so much as open their mouth. Even then thats not really favoritism- thats just make proper decisions based on background information and experience. Also I dont make friends with stupid people so in a very skewed sense of it, all my friends are "mod material." Key word: skewed.

Ill be blunt- the effort you put in these applications are important, very much so yes. But also consider the actions and connections youve established in the past and now.
That is very fair Oreh and even tough users will often disagree with the decisions you make, you of all people mods knows what's best for the site.Maybe not always actually, but that is still the sad truth that we must bear with and accept.

We don't have a specific number as of yet since things are still shifting within our ranks. The minimum at the moment is probably three and it could go up from there depending on how many qualified people there are/our need.

We'll keep everyone updated as we make decisions like that. I'm sure we'll have a specific number after we map things out.

Wowow. I never was implying that my statement was 100% true whatsoever haha. I just became edgy after seeing the love for some of the applicants. But i understand now. Thank y'all for clearing that out haha.
