The reason why I personally rate this anime a five is because I can look pass all the gore and short episodes. (If you can even call it that.) This anime is only 12 episodes long and each episode is no longer than 5-10mins.The plot is a boy simply loving his sister enough to suffer for her. They came from a family that wasn't really a family. The mother was a masochist that could only feel worth something if the husband beat her. The children were abused by their father and even though the boy's sister turned into a flesh eating monster he couldn't see her any less than his little sister. The story is Gorey, it shows human sacrifice that turns into two less than human siblings trying to work together with their unfortunate fate. I view it as deep and to me it has meaningfulness because it shows the length of a bond between two mentally and physically abused children. The pacing of this anime is short and rushed, I wish it would have went deeper into the lives of the two main protagonists.

This anime lives up to what it's suppose to be, gorey, intense, psychological and just overall to make you cringe. The gore was up to the most but still stayed logically acceptable with the amount of bodies. It catches your attention and doesn't lack on a intense moment. It messes with you, it makes you question why the creator even bothered to create such a perfectly inhumanly acceptable scenario.

Every crush, every bite, every scream, cry and whimper was perfectly expressed. The expression on each character is accurate and understandable throughout the whole anime. The dialogue even though short was on point for the task and scenario at hand. The opening song is good and fits the anime as well as the pictures picked to show and I honestly never payed attention to the ending song.

The two protagonists and the antagonists in this anime are clearly noted from the beginning. The personality of the protagonists is deep and heart warming to me. It catches the love, the emotions and obsession one could grow to have for someone they truly love. The antagonists are perfectly noted and they do what they do best in this anime. Always trying to sway the protagonist(s) to bend to their own will or just over all to destroy him/her.

Overall, I honestly give this anime a 6.5. The storyline though different than most new anime's (some old animes)is blinded by the gore and intense scenes. This anime being a psychological type isn't for just anyone. If you CANNOT look pass the gore, I do not suggest it for you. Some might find it disgusting and label it wrong because of the narrow minded biased way the mind can be. Though if you enjoy gore, intense scenes and disturbing yet acceptable scenarios but also don't mind cannibalism in your anime, I suggest this anime to you. Though be open minded and pay attention to it from the beginning and stay with it until the end or you might develop an ignorant opinion/review.
